TIZ THE LAW FEELS AT HOME FOR THE 2020 BC CLASSIC

The Belmont Stakes winner got to Lexington two weeks ago, and by all accounts from connections, he feels a lot better there.
Tiz the Law should feel at home.  He was raised just 20 miles away from the Keeneland Track at Twin Creeks Farm.

“He seems to like it,” Tagg said after Tiz The Law showed a lot of energy in his Monday gallop over the main track, which had to be deep harrowed because of an overnight freeze.

“He worked great,” said assistant trainer Heather Smullen, who has ridden Tiz The Law in the mornings since his arrival at Keeneland. “I didn’t ask him to do anything. He cruised around out there, and he got out great. I had to reach up to pull him up to stop him. He’s as happy as can be. I’d say we’re in a good spot.”

“I’d say he’s pretty close,” Smullen said. “The more accustomed him he gets to a place like he was at Saratoga — you saw toward the end of the meet how aggressive he was there. He’s getting that way here, and that’s a good sign.”
