Red White and Blue Racing’s NEAT stole the show as he surged to the wire in the G2 National Museum Hall of Fame stakes at Saratoga Race Course on Friday, Aug 2.
Trained by Rob Atras, the Constitution chestnut colt came off a pair of G3 victories this year, including the Manila S. in June at Belmont and the Transylvania S. in April over the Keeneland turf course.
Atras said he will cherish this graded stakes victory at the Spa. “It means a lot here at Saratoga. All the owners came out. He’s a nice colt and he’s won multiple stakes, but this is the top one,” said Atras. “Being here at Saratoga and winning means a lot.”
Jockey Junior Alvarado rode Neat with patience and confidence. When asked how Neat felt at the top of the stretch he said, “When I turned for home, I tipped him out and he was so game. He kept fighting and grinding and kept going after the horse in front. I love this horse. He is my kind of horse. You can feel he has fire to win.”
