Red Rifle is one of our most accomplished horses that Twin Creeks bred, raised and raced. He is a multiple graded stakes winner with earnings over a million dollars on both dirt and turf. He is named after the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, Andy Dalton who is nick-named Red Rifle for his quick arm and red hair!
Red Rifle, by Giant’s Causeway out of our mare May Night was born on April 3, 2010. From the day he was born, he showed lots of presence and had a winning attitude about him. Here he is standing next to his mom at 2 months of age.
He was easy to spot on the track and had a no-nonsense policy. It was his way or no way!
Isabelle, his regular morning rider in the Pletcher barn, would testify to that!
Red Rifle’s last race was on June 30, 2018. After retiring from racing, he returned home to Twin Creeks Farm to begin his much deserved retirement.
In 2019, after a year off the track, we started liberty training and tried a few obstacles. He loves the obstacles! For him, the bigger the challenge the better.
Red has since found his forever home with Kathryn Linch in Alabama. I could not be happier with who I chose to be his mom. He is spoiled everyday and living the good life beside his buddy, “the mini”.
