MISSION IMPAZIBLE was cheered on by many UK Wildcat Kentucky fans on the last day of the Fairgrounds meet as he stepped onto the track sporting the UK “GO BIG BLUE” silks for the running of the GII New Orleans Handicap. His mission was to try to do what no other horse has ever accomplished: Win the NO Handicap twice following a La Derby victory. He won the 2010 La Derby and came back last year to win the 2011 GII New Orleans Handicap. Although he did not succeed in this mission he did finish 2nd in a tic off track record time. The race was 15 lengths faster than the featured race “The Louisiana Derby”!
