RED RIFLE Wires the Field in the GII Hawthorne Gold Cup

RED RIFLE and jockey Florent Geroux wired the field in the G-II Hawthorne Gold Cup. This was Red Rifle’s first graded stakes win. Last month he was caught at the wire to finish second in the G-II Sycamore Stakes at Keeneland to Holiday Star on a very soft turf. Since becoming a gelding back in May he has not been worst than second in his last five starts. Trained by Todd Pletcher; he now has five wins and four seconds in 13 lifetime starts with earnings over $400,000.

Red Rifle was bred and raised at Twin Creeks Farm. The dam of Red Rifle, May Night, also resides at Twin Creeks and is in-foal to Graydar who is another Twin Creeks Racing star runner standing at Taylor Made Stallions
