RED RIFLE TAKES AIM ON THE GIII HILL PRINCE S.

RED RIFLE, the son of Giant’s Causeway and multiple turf stakes winning and graded stakes placed mare May Night, will try to keep his record perfect when switching to the turf today in the GIII Hill Prince S.

He won his debut in March at Gulfstream in wire to wire fashion. He repeated that performance at Keeneland in his 2nd start defeating his competition effortlessly on the poly track. Today he will try the turf for the first time. Should he win he will have a perfect record on three different surfaces and three different tracks.

He has drawn post 9 of 12 horses and will be ridden by his regular rider Javier Castellano. The GIII Hill Prince S. is the 8th race on the card at Belmont going 1 mile on the turf for 3yr olds. The purse is $150,000 and the estimated post time is 4:45PM
